King of the Farm

Well, nothing has changed much. I'm still the man of the farm, or what I like to call myself, "King" of the farm. No more cats are bothering us since I've been on the prowl. So, with nothing to do, I've resorted to taking long naps as a reward for my hard work. Guarding my area is a tough job with almost six acres to look after. But my family can rest assured that I have everything under control. The only trouble is the song birds who have made shelter in my barn. I can't go anywhere without them attacking me in hoards. Not to mention, it's hard to catch anything for dinner with the raucous they make. But I'll deal with them later. Right now, I have a warm cushion calling my name.

Ahhh Summer

The snow is gone, the grass is high, and I'm free at last! Despite the rainy weather recently I've enjoyed my new-found freedom with enthusiasm. My fur is healthier with less patches of fur missing and my wounds have healed. There's a notch on my tail where I was brutally attacked by a stray cat who mistakenly trespassed on my territory. Of course I defended my home and sent the intruder cowering, with his tail between his legs, as he headed full speed for the next county. I also get "personal" attention whenever I want. All I have to do is find an open window and meow until one of my owners come. What more could a cat ask for?!

Cozy Comfort

Because of the cold weather Mother Nature has so happily blessed us with, my owners bring me inside at night. The snow isn't all that bad..unless I am forced to tunnel through it. The cold chills from the frosty air travel up my spine and spark something electric in me and I romp and plunge through the snow mounds with a predator-like pounce. But at night the winds can practically blow me across the state line! All I have to do is paw and meow at the door to get my owners to feel sorry and let me in. Works every time.
